ACMEs (The State Advisory Councils on Military Education)
The ACMEs' focus on three major areas: (1) Evaluating and restructuring policies related to acceptance and transfer of credit for veterans, military students and their adult family members; (2) enhancing the educational aspirations of the military populations in the state; and (3) making educational programs accessible in cost, location, and scheduling.

American Council on Education: Colleges and University Partnerships
College and University Partnerships (CUP), an ACE program in the Center for Education Attainment and Innovation, works to advance greater awareness, acceptance, and application of credit for prior learning as a key element for increasing postsecondary participation and completion.

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation
Provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in combat or training.

Earn college credit with CLEP exams.
Computer/Electronics Accommodations Program
Equips service members with assistive technology devices, accommodations, and training to help individuals with dexterity impairments, cognitive difficulties, vision loss, and hearing loss recover and transition to employment.

CCME is an active proponent for the professional development of those serving in the military education community by providing a forum for the exchange of information on educational programs, strategies and innovation among its members and associated partners.

Military Installation Voluntary Education Review (MIVER)
The Principles are founded on best practices in distance higher education and tailored to the unique needs of the military community. The Principles define parameters of excellence; enhance the legitimacy and worth of distance education; and foster dialogue to strengthen and improve the quality of these programs and services. The Principles contribute to the continuous improvement of the military voluntary education program by helping to establish benchmarks of quality. Achievement of these Principles will result in an institution earning status as a DOD Preferred Provider of Distance Education and enable military members to make an informed choice among distance education institutions.
