2016 Student Scholarship Recipients

SECOME just keeps on growing! This year, the organization has seen the largest scholarship application response, as well as awarded the largest amount of scholarships within the organization's history! The student recipients were offered a free night stay at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto in Savannah, GA as well as a gas gift card to help with the travel expenses to the venue to accept the scholarship certificate in person as well as participate on the student panel during the 2016 Symposium. SECOME awarded 5, $1000 scholarship awards to the following noteworthy recipients:

2015 Student Scholarships Recipients

The student recipients were offered a free night stay at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina to accept the scholarship certificate in person as well as participate on the student panel during the 2015 symposium. Due to the growth of SECOME membership as well as sponsorship, SECOME was able to award 6 scholarships this year - double the amount from the previous year. $500 scholarships were awarded to the following military-affiliated students:

Grant Hudson - Veteran, University of Maryland University College

Ryan Morris - Active Duty Service Member, University of North Carolina Wilmington

Opal Potter - Spouse, University of North Carolina Wilmington

Kayla Rehder - Spouse, East Carolina University

Frederick Young - Veteran, University of Maryland University College

2014 Student Scholarship Recipients

The Student recipients were offered free travel expenses and a free night stay at the Avista Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to accept the scholarship certificate in person during the 2014 annual conference.

$500 scholarships were awarded to the following military-affiliated students.
